November :: I have a work in an upcoming group exhibition at Adelaide Central Gallery, Janurary 2012. Please view the gallery website for details.

October :: Portia Geach Memorial Award 2011 - The exhibition will open to the public on the 23 September until the 6 November 2011, at the S.H. Ervin Gallery, Watson Road, Observatory Hill, The Rocks Sydney. The gallery hours are Tuesday – Sunday: 11:00am – 5:00pm

In a first for the prize, the exhibition will tour to the Tweed River Art Gallery, Murwillumbah next year from 3 February to 18 March, 2012.

September :: My painting Still Life (5 days), of Nigel Koop, Sera Waters, Ryan Waters, Bridget Currie & Daniel Torchio, has been selected as one of the finalist works for the Portia Geach Memorial Award.

The Portia Geach Memorial Award is a celebration of female Australian artists. It's Australia's most prestigious portrait prize for female artists and has greatly contributed to the development of female artists in this country.

August :: Orchid Face #1 has been selected as part of this years Craftsouth Wish List 2011 - See the best of South Australian visual art, craft and design. Nearly 50 Craftsouth members are represented in this exhibition which includes glass, textiles, assemblage, prints, paintings, photography, jewellery, ceramics and sculpture.

June :: Working in the studio full time towards my next solo exhibtion which will be held at Helen Gory Galerie, Melbourne.

May :: My painting Griet has been selected as one of the forty finalist works in the Sunshine Coast Art Prize 2011.

April :: Finalist in the Archibald Prize - My painting Roy Ananda (chin support), a work in a series of portraits, has been selected as a finalist in the Archibald Prize. The Archibald Prize is one of Australia's oldest and most prestigious art awards. JF Archibald's primary aims were to foster portraiture, support artists and perpetuate the memory of great Australians.

August :: Images of my paintings from the Melbourne Art Fair are now available to view online.

July :: My painting Paul has been selected as one of seventeen finalist works for the John Fries Memorial Prize, and will be exhibited at Viscopy's contemporary art space, Blackfriars off Broadway, 1 Blackfriars St, Chippendale in Sydney NSW. The exhibition will run from August 10 - Sept 9.

June :: Currently I am soley represented by Helen Gory Galerie in Melbourne. You can see my lastest work with their gallery at the Melbourne Art Fair 4th - 8th August. I've decided I will no longer be showing with Boutwell Draper Gallery and therefore am no longer represented by their gallery in Sydney.

May :: I am currently working in the studio on new paintings for Helen Gory Galerie for the Melbourne Art Fair, 4-8 August 2010.

Two of my paintings have been selected for the inaugural Lethbridge Art Prize 10,000 Small-Scale Art Awards (Brisbane), placing me in the finalist round.

THE INCINERATOR - Studio Launch
:: Deidre But-Husaim and Sera Waters are launching their new studio Sunday, 24 January 2010, 2:00 - 4:00pm, 36 West Thebarton Road, Thebarton (look out for the signs which will direct you to the studio). Come along and help us celebrate the launch with a special guest appearance and opening blessing by the elusive Hermano Rojo.
